What is the Action Plan?
The Action Plan feature generates intelligent, actionable recommendations based on your monitored prompt data. Instead of just showing you where your brand is missing from AI responses, it tells you what to do about it. Each action plan analyzes your prompt performance and produces a set of concrete steps you can take to improve your brand’s presence in AI-generated answers.How it works
Action Plans are generated from your monitored prompts. When you create a new plan, First Answer analyzes:- Which prompts have low or zero visibility for your brand
- What competitors appear instead
- Which sources AI models cite in their responses
- Patterns across your best and worst performing prompts

Action items
Each action within a plan is a specific, implementable recommendation. Actions may include:- Content creation: Write a blog post or landing page targeting a specific topic
- Content optimization: Update existing pages to better address the prompt’s intent
- Source building: Get mentioned on high-authority sites that AI models frequently cite
- Technical improvements: Structured data, page speed, or indexing fixes

- Archived: Completed plans you have already addressed, kept for historical reference
How to use Action Plans
Generate a new plan
Click + New Plan to create an action plan. Select the monitored prompts you want to analyze.
Review recommended actions
Click on a plan to see its full list of actions. Each action includes context about why it was recommended and what impact it may have.
Prioritize and execute
Focus on actions that target your highest-value prompts first. Low-visibility prompts with high search intent should be your top priority.
